We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the IT Operations Solutions Engineering team, driving Coinbase towards an automated IT experience as well as administering cloud-based IT systems and tools. A successful candidate will have demonstrated previous success in similar role(s) in rapidly growing, security-first, environments. The right person is passionate about automation, scripting, and problem solving.. Willingness to “roll up their sleeves” while simultaneously planning for scale is critical to success with this role!
What you'll be doing:
- Partner across Coinbase to design and implement reliable automated workflows as well as self-served resources.
- Design and implement complex automations across multiple systems to address our rapidly growing global remote workforce
- Mentor and develop team members
- Own documentation across system lifecycle
- Facilitate incident response, conduct root cause analysis and blameless retrospectives
- Define metrics and design/implement automation opportunities based on monitoring/observability
What we look for in you:
- 5+ years of experience
- Domain expertise with the following: Okta, Google Workspace, Slack
- Fluency in Golang, Python, or Ruby
- Strong experience with using IaC on AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud environment
- Proficiency with version control using CI/CD (Git)
- Clear communication--demonstrate ability to explain technical concepts simply
- Self starter; possess a continuous learning mindset
- Demonstrate critical thinking under pressure

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $162,350 to $191,000 + target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
