About the Role:
The Associate IT Helpdesk Technician will be primarily responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees within the organization. This position will be the first point of contact for employees seeking help with their computer hardware, software, and other technology-related issues. This role is crucial in ensuring that all technology systems and equipment function effectively, allowing employees to work efficiently without interruptions. Excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and a customer-centric approach are essential for success in this role.
What you will do:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
o Respond to IT support requests through various channels, such as phone, email, or ticketing systems.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and other IT-related problems reported by end-users.
o Provide timely and effective solutions to technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
o Assist users with software installations, configurations, and updates.
o Educate employees on using technology tools and applications effectively.
o Create user guides and documentation to facilitate self-help for common issues.
o Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
o Perform hardware repairs or coordinate repairs with external vendors when necessaryInstall, update, and troubleshoot software applications on user devices.
o Monitor software licenses to ensure compliance and manage software inventories.
o Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
o Reset passwords and assist users with account-related issues.
About you:
o High School Diploma or equivalent2-4 years of related experience.
o Expertise in supporting current releases of OS X.
o Expertise in supporting current release of Windows.
o Excellent communication skills. Problem analysis and resolution skills.
o Ability to show initiative to take on assignments of a more advanced nature.
o Experience with the following technologies: Google Workspaces, MDM, and Wifi.
o Highly motivated with a positive attitude.
o Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
o Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
o Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
o Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
o Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
