About the role:
The Senior AR Accountant plays a critical role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, and providing support in financial reporting and analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work with financial data. The Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to maintain financial integrity and support decision-making processes.
What you will do:
o Perform monthly and quarterly closing responsibilities
o Prepare journal entries with accurate and complete work papers with accrual and reversal liabilities, and reporting
o Play key role in month-end closing and preparation of periodic reporting schedules
o Balance Sheet Reconciliations including high volume complex ones
o Respond to data requests and requests for information (audit requests)
o Perform enter/review of sales orders to ensure proper input to the system, review of billings for accuracy, review of revenue recognition plans, with a continuous effort to ensure accuracy of revenue related data.
o Collaborate with the Professional Services organization in streamlining processes and implementing/managing time tracking and efforts estimates
o Assist with billing and collection and invoicing activities
o Comply with internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404
o Communicate, verbally and in writing, with various groups including internal customers and team members to perform work functions
o Assist all Accounting and Finance personnel in the resolution of accounting related issues and implementing new accounting processes
o Other projects and tasks as assigned.
o Responsible for year-end audit preparation and assist in preparing audit schedules at year-end
o Ability to efficiently work toward and consistently meet deadlines
o Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, accounting system upgrades
About you:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & CPA is a plus
o 5+ years of accounting experience
o Start up experience with high volume transactions preferred
o Experience with revenue recognition and Knowledge on ASC 606 is a plus
o Experience demonstrating skill using Microsoft office and other accounting. Software
o Experience with full-cycle accrual accounting utilizing an accounting system and specific knowledge of accounting responsibilities (journal entries, reconciliations and financial statement analysis)
o Experience with Netsuite preferred

o Must be able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize to accomplish goals
