About the role:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Product Manager will be to make it easy for developers across all of our customer segments to understand, use, debug, and get help with our broad suite of shipping APIs, as well as increase developer productivity within our carrier engineering org. Through your analysis, developer interviews, and internal feedback, the Senior Product Manager will drive a product roadmap that will delight our customer’s developers and scale our carrier platform. The role will work across many teams, from Engineering to Customer Support to Business Development, and will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on our developer community and our business.
What you will do:
o Strategic Product Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize features for the backend platform, aligning with the overall product strategy. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities in fintech processes.
o Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Prioritize features and enhancements based on impact and feasibility, balancing short-term gains with long-term strategic objectives.
o Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure successful implementation of features and improvements. Foster a collaborative environment, bridging communication gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Requirement Definition: Gather detailed requirements from internal and external stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable user stories and technical specifications. Clearly communicate requirements to the development team and provide guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
o Quality Assurance: Define and implement product testing strategies to ensure the robustness and reliability of backend platform features. Collaborate with QA teams to conduct thorough testing and address any issues identified during the testing phase.
o Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for backend platform features and monitor their performance. Analyze data and user feedback to continuously iterate on existing features and identify areas for improvement.
About you:
o Bachelor’s Degree
o 8+ years of related experience, master’s degree and 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.
o Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager in the fintech industry, with a focus on backend platform development.
o Must possess a proven track record with the following: currency, bill pay automation, working with foreign entities, fraud, and automating the financial process for an organization
o Strong understanding of financial processes and regulatory requirements in the fintech space.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
o Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
o You have led growth initiatives for a minimum of 5 years with a focus on growing SaaS businesses.
o Build consensus and listen well, but can also drive hard decisions. You push the pace. You take blame and pass the praise. People love working with you.
o Excels at communicating with team, partners, and executives with clarity, salience, and urgency.
o You are not afraid to take on the unknown and are constantly learning and adapting to new challenges.
o Knowledge of the shipping industry.

o Experienced in iterative product development including bespoke solutions.
o Flawless product craft and business acumen; expert in balancing user and business impact as well as short- and long-term impact.
