JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for an iOS Engineer to join our close-knit team and play a key role in the development of our Thrive product. This is a unique opportunity to help us rethink how Thrive provides access to credit for millions of underserved users. As a key member of a small, fast-paced team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of critical features, pitch experiments, and design features that directly impact our users. If you’re excited about tackling meaningful challenges, shaping product strategy, and delivering innovative solutions in a hands-on setting, we’d love to meet you!
Travel for company offsites is expected at a minimum 2 times a year.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and other team members to define, design and ship new features that create customer and business value.
Analyze user feedback, app analytics, and performance metrics to help prioritize features or improvements.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability.
Minimizing defects and improving reliability through: Development of automated tests, manual test validation, development of fit for purpose architecture and code, contributing to PRs
Improve and maintain our iOS build and release process
Adopt and evangelize the use of AI tooling to improve the speed and efficiency of software development
Continuously learn and adopt new iOS technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., SwiftUI, Combine, Core Data).
Drive technical excellence across teams by establishing architectural patterns and best practices that scale with our growing user base.
Shape and evangelise the technical vision for our iOS platform while mentoring engineers to level up their technical capabilities
Partner with engineering leadership to identify and resolve technical debt, while balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term platform health
Candidate Qualifications
5+ years developing consumer facing iOS apps
Experience working in Swift and iOS UI Frameworks
