The opportunity

The Partner Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in Flexport’s mission to make commerce so easy there will be more of it. Flexport today connects over 10,000 clients and suppliers across 109 countries. This role will focus on our business in Mexico in a cross-functional environment, partnering closely with our clients, forwarding partners, ocean carriers, trucking providers but also different teams across the company to achieve our common objectives.

You will

  • Oversee and drive the end-to-end success of Flexport's operations in Mexico, ensuring alignment with global standards and objectives.
  • Lead the performance of Flexport’s ocean, air, freight forwarding, trucking, and CFS partners. Utilize global metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to achieve operational excellence, quality, and consistency.
  • Manage local customer relationships in Mexico, driving their success through exceptional service.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Mexican operations. Apply advanced problem-solving skills to analyze processes, conduct deep dives, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Define and execute the regional network strategy by analyzing the partner and competitive landscape, ensuring compliance, and aligning with growth priorities. Identify when and where to add or remove partners to meet cost, quality, and expansion goals.
  • Partner with local, regional, and global teams—including Sales, Account Management, Trade Lane Managers (Air, Ocean, Warehousing), and Operations—to design tailored logistics solutions for clients and drive new business opportunities for Flexport.
  • Be a trusted advisor and coach to Partners; continuously identifying gaps and develop innovative and creative solutions to improve their performance

You should have

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Studies or related field
  • 6+ years of professional experience in logistics or supply chain, including experience in P&L management and vendor/client/partner management
  • Excel at managing operations teams, ensuring operational excellence across all modes
  • Strategic mindset and ability to execute end-to-end with world class follow through
  • Extensive experience in customer service, skilled in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at every level
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to thoroughly analyze operations, perform deep dives, and identify root causes to develop effective solutions.
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
