We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of relevant legal experience, combining both law firm and in-house practice. This role requires a strong background in commercial technology transactions, privacy law, and the ability to work closely with various business units, including engineering and product teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and manage complex commercial transactions, including B2B SaaS agreements, direct and channel partnerships, and strategic transactions.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts with a focus on technology transactions.

  • Provide legal support for business models, sales motions, global commercial negotiation practices, and revenue recognition standards.

  • Develop, implement, and manage internal privacy compliance programs to ensure compliance with US, European, and other international privacy laws.

  • Work with engineering and product teams to integrate privacy and data security into product development and business operations.

  • Respond to data privacy and security incidents, including managing breach notifications and regulatory inquiries.

  • Utilize and implement contract lifecycle management systems to streamline contract processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement, scalability, and operational excellence in contract management, workflows, deal processes, and execution.

  • Enhance templates, forms, policies, and processes to simplify and expedite deals and product/service terms.

  • Facilitate effective collaboration and negotiation with internal and external business and legal teams.

  • Provide strategic legal advice and support to various business units.

  • Maintain strong drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.

What skills & experience do you need?

  • Full Professional Proficiency in English.

  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience with a blend of law firm and in-house practice.

  • Expertise in commercial technology transactions, including B2B SaaS, direct, channel partnerships, and strategic transactions.

  • Strong understanding of business models, sales motion, global commercial negotiation practices, and revenue recognition standards.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Strong drafting skills with high attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems is a plus.

  • Deep knowledge of US, European, and international privacy laws.

  • Hands-on experience in building and managing privacy programs.

  • Experience working with engineering and product teams.

  • Ability to manage internal privacy compliance programs and processes.

  • Proactive in driving enhancements of templates, forms, policies, and processes.
