Laurel is on a mission to return time. As the leading AI Time platform for professional services firms, we’re transforming how organizations capture, analyze, and optimize their most valuable resource: time. Our proprietary machine learning technology automates work time capture and connects time data to business outcomes, enabling firms to increase profitability, improve client delivery, and make data-driven strategic decisions. We serve many of the world's largest accounting and law firms, including EY, Grant Thornton, and Latham & Watkins, and process over 1 billion work activities annually that have never been collected and aggregated before Laurel’s AI Time platform.

Our team comprises top talent in AI, product development, and engineering—innovative, humble, and forward-thinking professionals committed to redefining productivity in the knowledge economy. We're building solutions that empower workers to deliver twice the value in half the time, giving people more time to be creative and impactful. If you're passionate about transforming how people work and building a lasting company that explores the essence of time itself, we'd love to meet you.

The Role

We’re hiring our first AI Workflow Associate, a critical new role that sits within Operations and is focused on driving step-function improvements across Laurel’s business units—Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, HR, and Internal Ops—by embedding AI and automation into the fabric of how we work.

Your job is to help these teams do 10x more with fewer people. You’ll be the person who connects the dots between messy workflows and powerful new tools. You’ll lead the charge on identifying inefficiencies, evaluating solutions, managing rollouts, and tracking ROI.

This role is equal parts strategist, builder, coach, and change agent. The right person will thrive on autonomy, love fast iteration, and get energy from helping others become radically more effective.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with leaders across the business to understand their workflows, pain points, and goals

  • Evaluate and implement AI tooling to streamline, automate, or augment repetitive processes

  • Own end-to-end rollout of AI/automation initiatives, including training, change management, and adoption

  • Track and report ROI on implemented solutions—time saved, cost reduced, throughput improved

  • Create playbooks and knowledge-sharing resources to scale impact across the company

  • Act as an internal coach, helping functions level up their comfort and fluency with AI tools

  • Manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure all tools meet our security, compliance, and legal standards

  • Maintain a living roadmap of initiatives, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship fast

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–8 years in an operations, strategy, systems, or internal tools role; you likely have a consulting approach to work, and have a demonstrated history of working alongside the team to implement your proposed solutions.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-ownership environments; you collaborate effectively across teams, adapt to different working styles, and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.

  • Strong working knowledge of the AI tooling landscape (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Perplexity, Notion AI, etc.)

  • Comfortable with low-code/no-code platforms (Zapier, Make, Airtable, Retool, etc.)

  • Sharp process thinker with a strong sense of “what good looks like” across business functions

  • Lifelong learner with a strong bias for action and experimentation; a trusted thought partner who others across the business consistently turn to for perspective, collaboration, and problem-solving.

  • Bonus: ability to prototype lightweight AI-enabled solutions (prompting, scripting, API integrations)

Our Culture & Values

At Laurel, we are mission-obsessed: to return time to the world. We believe time is the ultimate platform for human potential. Everything we do—every product decision, meeting, or hire—is guided by our core value: Sanctify Time.

Some of our guiding cultural principles:

  • Speed over consensus. We move fast, learn fast, and iterate fast.

  • Focus on the #1 thing. We say no to good ideas so we can say yes to essential ones.

  • Comfort with discomfort. Startups are messy. We rebuild every 6 months.

  • Leverage over efficiency. We aim for 10x impact, not 10% optimizations.

  • No theater of work. We cancel unproductive meetings and hold ourselves accountable to outcomes—not optics.
