The Role

The Senior Manager of Professional Services will play a critical role in building and leading our Professional Services team, focusing on ensuring the successful scoping, deployment, and management of complex customer projects. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker, strong leader, can scale the team to meet the growing business needs, and have excellent customer relationship management skills.

What You'll Do

Team Building & Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing billable Professional Services team focused on customer satisfaction and efficient project delivery.
  • Be accountable for the services team financial goals, metrics and reporting.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-centric team culture, emphasizing consistency and excellence in project execution.
  • Develop training and career growth opportunities for team members, supporting professional development.
SOW Ownership & Scoping
  • Own and manage the creation of customer-facing SOWs, ensuring accurate scoping for both standard and custom implementations.
  • Standardize the SOW scoping process, establishing guidelines and templates to drive consistency and clarity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Engineers, and Onboarding teams to align SOW requirements and set achievable deliverables.
Implementation & Project Management
  • Oversee the delivery of complex deployments, and execution of statements of work, including custom integrations and ERP migrations.
  • Set and manage customer expectations, project timelines, and deliverables, aligning resources and tracking milestones.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Onboarding to proactively address project risks and challenges.
Optimize Customer Time-to-Value
  • Develop strategies that accelerate time-to-value for customers, maximizing their ROI with our platform.
  • Identify and resolve project blockers to ensure swift, high-satisfaction deployments.
    • Act as a project sponsor, providing oversight and governance, including tracking of key metrics like project health, budget and risk.
Product Feedback & Collaboration
  • Provide structured feedback and key data points to the Product team based on customer implementation experiences and project data.
  • Act as a voice of the customer, highlighting areas for improvement and feature enhancement to continuously optimize the platform.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: 7+ years in Professional Services, Customer Success, or a related field with a focus on complex project management, customer onboarding, and team leadership.
  • Leadership: Proven experience building and leading teams with a focus on development, mentorship, and high-performance outcomes.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software implementations, systems integration, and custom solution scoping.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficient in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline management for high-impact projects.
  • AP Automation Expertise: Experience with AP Automation is highly preferred, including complex integrations with ERP systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled in working with Sales, Sales Engineering, Product, Engineering, Onboarding, Support and Customer Success teams to align on project requirements and deliverables.
  • Customer-Centric: Deeply committed to understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that maximize value and satisfaction.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at setting expectations and aligning stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analytical & Process-Oriented: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of developing scalable processes and efficiencies.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred; PMP certification a plus.
