This role is based in San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Role
Develop and design of the risk platform and tools to support fraud, compliance, and payments at Patreon.
Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve our automated testing and reliability of our risk platform.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new functionality, while maintaining a delightful user experience, motivated by passion for our shared mission.
Collaborate with data science team to leverage machine learning to reduce risk at Patreon
Work with Java, Python, React, Flask, Spring Boot, MySQL, and AWS, introducing other technologies when it makes sense.
Build a strong product-minded, engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers inside and outside the team
About You
5+ years of experience in fullstack software development
Excited to maintain high standard of quality and craft with an eye for user experience and engineering detail
A track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughput
Experience designing, building, deploying, monitoring and maintaining code in a service-oriented architecture
Proactive in communicating with your peers and cross-functional partners
Experience building products in the fraud/compliance/payments domain is a plus, but not a strict requirement for this role
