We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a Senior Manager, Trust & Safety to support our mission.

This role is remote with optional in-person attendance in either the San Francisco or New York offices. Expect to travel a handful of times per year for team building and collaboration offsites.

About the Role

  • You will be a company leader in Trust & Safety (Content Safety and Account Integrity), leading efforts to keep our creators and fans safe.

  • You will directly manage a cross-functional team of Trust & Safety fullstack engineers, machine learning engineers and a data analyst to execute on an impactful safety roadmap.

  • You will leverage data to provide strategic clarity and uncover operational wins.

  • You will coach and mentor your team members and help grow their career.

  • You will collaborate with cross-functional peers such as product, policy, and operations to craft a clear strategy and roadmap for safety at Patreon.

  • You will be an advocate and represent your team’s work in company-wide forums, and contribute to shaping overall safety investments and culture at the company.

About You

  • You have 5+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams.

  • You have 2+ years in the Trust & Safety domain, either as an IC or in a managerial role.

  • You possess strong analytical skills with a rigorous, scientific approach to learning and decision-making.

  • You have excellent communication and prioritization skills.

  • You have a growth mindset and aspire to continuously improve your skills.

  • You build trust and foster psychological safety within your team and with cross-functional partners.

  • You remain deeply technical and are able to provide technical guidance to your team.

  • You are energized about protecting users from harm and abuse, and fostering a safe community at Patreon.
