We are looking for an extraordinary Product Designer that will join our small but mighty product design team and actively contribute to the strategy and vision of a market-leading AP Automation product. You will work closely with product managers and engineers all over the world to create and improve the design of our cutting-edge products and features. With your deep understanding of user-centered design principles and your innate ability to translate business goals and user needs into effective design solutions, you will be an integral part of Plate IQ and help us create visually stunning and functionally efficient products that are both innovative and user-friendly.
Responsibilities
- Define and contribute to research initiatives (usability tests, surveys, interviews, and so on) alongside UX team and Product Managers
- Understand user needs, pain points and product goals, either in collaboration with UX designers or independently
- Conduct competitor analysis
- Create personas and journey maps
- Create site maps and other information architecture deliverables
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes
- Actively contribute to the Plate IQ Design System by creating components, ensuring reusability and functionally
- Design UI elements such as buttons, icons and forms using Plate IQ’s Design System
- Build UI systems that can scale in production, owning them from concept to shipping
- Communicate design decisions to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Design features that fit within the larger experience and flows
- Work with Product Managers and Engineers to iterate on and refine the existing experience
- Hand designs off to development team
- Lead other projects, duties, and initiatives, as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product design experience
- Empathy for users. Ability to think critically about user needs
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in UX design principles, design thinking, and visual design.
- Strong planning, prioritizing and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Understand responsive design and best practices
- Knowledge and understanding of how to design for inclusivity and accessibility
- Experience owning and launching end-to-end product / product features
