Reddit is continuing to grow our teams with the best talent. This role is completely remote friendly and will continue to be after the pandemic.

The Ads Measurement team is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of our advertising platform. We specialize in privacy enhancing technologies, and build solutions for identity resolution, modeled conversions, ID graphs, and many other applications. We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist to build machine learning based solutions for ads measurement problems, to help Reddit succeed in a privacy-centric world. Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance ads measurement capabilities by diving deep into our platform and understanding the needs of our advertisers.
  • Design and develop applied machine learning models for identity resolution, modeled conversions, ID graphs, from ideation to model development, evaluation, and iteration.
  • Collaborate with machine learning engineers and backend software engineers to achieve production impacts.
  • Own your work from concept, design, implementation, and help engineers to rollout, ensuring the highest quality and performance.
  • Stay updated on state-of-the-art algorithmic techniques and recognize promising innovations, adapting them to Reddit's unique platform and community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/CS major (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, electrical engineering). A Master's or PhD is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in Ads Privacy, Ads Measurement, and/or Ads Signals.
  • Proficiency with programming languages and statistical analysis (Python, SQL).
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant industry or academic background, preferably in a quantitative/modeling or highly scalable computing environment.
  • Prior experience in ads measurement, especially ads privacy and privacy enhancing techniques, is a big plus.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:
$206,700$289,400 USD
