VP of Marketing, APAC
Rippling is the first way for businesses to manage all of their HR, Finance & IT — payroll, benefits, computers, apps and more, in one unified workforce platform.
By connecting every business system to one source of truth for employee data, businesses can automate all of the manual work they normally need to do to make employee changes. Take onboarding, for example - with Rippling, you can just click a button and set up a new employees’ payroll, health insurance, work computer, and third-party apps—like Slack, Zoom, and Office 365 all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.2B from the world's top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Bedrock, and Greenoaks—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes (#12 out of 500).
About the role
Rippling has grown from $0 to $11B largely by focusing on the United States. And now we’re expanding into Asia Pacific.
That’s where you come in.
As our marketing leader in APAC, you’ll oversee the end-to-end strategy and execution of our regional marketing programs across demand generation, events, brand, content, partner marketing, and more.
As we build from our hub in Sydney, you’ll oversee both our success in our initial launch market of Australia, and all future regional markets.
The role will report directly to our VP for Asia Pacific, and have strong partnership and collaboration with our global marketing team.
This role will work hybrid out of our Sydney office.
What you will do
Develop and execute a marketing playbook for each Asia Pacific market, starting with Australia. Your goal is to build an efficient portfolio of strategies we can use to drive demand and activate our customers.
Work with our growth team to run experiments across events, digital, ABM, etc that drive qualified sales opportunities at a low cost.
Own the development of core marketing and sales segments. You’ll roll up your sleeves to produce sales decks, website copy, and more. We’ll stay scrappy as we go from 0>1.
Ensure we have the right messaging and segmentation, then produce content that drives demand and moves prospects through the funnel.
Make sure we’re at the right regional events.
What you will need
10+ years of marketing leadership experience, preferably in SaaS/technology, across a range of disciplines (growth, digital, events, brand, etc)
A proactive mindset. You love to create experiences and care deeply about Rippling
Business acumen and the ability to see the impact beyond the details of planning
Ability to be a regional spokesperson and advocate for Rippling across Asia Pacific
Ability to influence execs, build strong relationships and rally teams
Ability to make decisions and recommendations even when things are ambiguous
Ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently with operational rigor and frugality
A passion for the startup environment - ready and willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of building a great business
About the team
Our team in Australia started in July 2023 and is currently ~30 team members and growing quickly! Our exciting journey in this region is just getting started and we’re looking for an incredible marketer to join the team for a once in a lifetime opportunity to build the next great SaaS company.
