About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.2B from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

Scaling to $1B ARR and beyond requires building a go-to-market engine that drives growth across dozens of product SKUs, sales segments, buyer personas, and countries. That’s where you come in.

The GTM team brings Rippling closer to our customers, and our customers closer to our products. As a Senior Product GTM Manager, you’ll orchestrate the go-to-market for Rippling’s Benefits products, which includes Benefits Administration, Flex Benefits, and Rippling PEO. You will gather and analyze market intelligence to ensure we build the right products and tell the right stories, so our sales team can win. You will spend countless hours living in the product, experiencing for yourself what it’s like to manage and administer benefits on Rippling’s unified data architecture and business platform.

This role is highly cross-functional. You will work closely with Rippling’s Product organization, our Sales teams, and the rest of our Marketing machine. We’d love to talk to you if you are a compelling storyteller, obsess about customers, and exhibit sharp product instincts.

Our GTM team sits within the marketing org. The team and this role are based in our San Francisco office.

What you will do

  • Bring product launches to market
  • Own the end-to-end GTM strategy, execution, and performance of your product lines
  • Conduct deep customer research and synthesize insights about our products, target audiences, and personas
  • Partner closely with the Product organization to define the product roadmap and evangelize it with prospects and customers
  • Create an always-on feedback loop between sales, product, and marketing, to ensure we react quickly to “on the ground” developments.
  • Own the messaging & positioning for all of the products within your vertical, as well as all of the personas and buyers within our ICP
  • Quarterback the creation of sales pitch decks, collateral, webpages, blogs, and any other materials that can help us win.
  • Manage your products like a GM with a focus on how to improve metrics like awareness, attach rate, adoption, and customer retention.
  • Educate our sales teams on products and create sales tools / collateral to help them win.
  • Be the in-house expert (buyers, influencers, competitors, industry, etc.) on your Rippling products.

What you will need

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical product marketing, consulting, business operations, or general management. (2+ years experience in marketing highly preferred)
  • Proven ability to translate customer and market insights into crisp GTM fundamentals, including segmentation, buyer personas, messaging, competitive positioning, pricing recommendations, and more.
  • You love to dive deep into products. You team effectively with product managers and engineers because you know the ins and outs of the product as well as they do.
  • You pride yourself in making the impossible possible. You are resourceful, have a bias towards action, and get energy juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are results-oriented and evidence-driven. You say the truth even when it's inconvenient and admit what you don't know.
  • Superb ability to influence, collaborate and project manage. You build trust with a variety of personalities and get folks onside, even when there are competing priorities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You clearly tell a story without resorting to jargon.
  • You are a quick learner. You pick up context rapidly and easily adapt to new challenges.
  • A creative spark. While analytical chops are critical to your success, we also pride ourselves on being able to think outside the box.
  • You sweat the details - small and big, alike.
