About the role:

We are looking for a talented cloud security engineer who is a specialist in cloud infrastructure security within AWS, you will get to work alongside our talented DevOps and CloudOps teams helping them ensure that our cloud environments are safe and secure.

In this role you will be instrumental in both helping define secure working practices in our public cloud as well as managing security tooling that drives visibility and control of our cloud infrastructure and helps detect misconfiguration, security drift and anomalous behavior right down to the apps and containers.

What you will own:

Acting as a subject matter expert in cloud security, designing secure patterns for the configuration and consumption of cloud infrastructure
Review architectural designs for new cloud infrastructure initiatives building in security controls
Communicating and collaborating with engineering to embed and adjust patterns as required to help drive adoption
Run and improve security tooling that gives visibility and control of cloud security configuration
Raising the bar by close working with teams to drive remediation of cloud security issues in a risk based manner
Support operations teams in defining incident response playbooks for public cloud

What you bring to the table:

Expert knowledge of AWS security including well architected framework and the security pillar
Expert knowledge of containerisation and microservices architecture
Deep knowledge of CI/CD processes and technologies
Good security fundamentals
Experience designing and reviewing designs for infrastructure that supports application deployment in AWS
Experience in securing Amazon EKS, Fargate and underlying K8S Services.
High level knowledge of the software development lifecycle
