About the Role

Client Services Engineer, NYC

Talos is currently seeking a Client Services Engineer to help streamline client service by creating automation and instrumentation solutions. You'll identify common client issues and develop proactive solutions to prevent them. You'll also help maintain system stability through real-time monitoring of our production systems. As part of a global team, you'll serve as a key contact between Talos and our clients, addressing trading and operational queries. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Innovate Client Services: Drive the transformation and reduction of “toil” of client support by developing innovative automation solutions, ensuring seamless and efficient service experiences.

  • Anticipate and Solve Problems: Stay ahead of client needs by identifying common pain points and creating proactive solutions, preventing issues before they arise.

  • Enhance Client Experience: Act as a trusted advisor and main point of contact for clients, handling trading and operational queries with expertise and dedication as part of our global team.

  • Ensure System Reliability: Help maintain system stability and health, employing real-time monitoring to keep our production systems running smoothly and efficiently.


  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing support / engineering role

  • Engineering degree or quantitative equivalent or similar experience

  • Programming and / or scripting experience (Python, Shell, Javascript)

  • Experience with Linux

  • Experience with distributed systems / cloud services is nice to have

  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, telemetry, and SRE principles is advantageous.

  • Programming experience with generative AI (ChatGPT) and Bot-based solutions via chat (Slack) is nice to have

  • Experience with trading systems in either capital markets or digital assets strongly preferred

  • Curious, willing to learn, and question existing processes and protocols

  • Exceptional problem-solving ability

In New York City, the annual base compensation range is $140,000 - $180,000. This position is eligible for discretionary bonus.
