The Core Ingestion team builds pipelines that enables us to ingest critical information which serves as the foundation of the TRM product. The team integrates blockchain infrastructure, provider data and off chain data using high throughput and reliable infrastructure to build a data warehouse. The is responsible for the quality, freshness and the cost of data that the company and our customers rely on.

The impact you will have here:

  • Work with technical leadership to guide the design, architecture, ETL frameworks, and data governance practices that set the strategic direction for the team and company.
  • Work with upstream data producers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to collect accurate data for foundational models.
  • Lead and develop a team of talented and high-impact engineers, providing cultural, technical, and hands-on leadership
  • Provide regular professional coaching and technical mentorship to your immediate team as well as the broader engineering department
  • Drive work based on goals and measurable outcomes that are accountable to KPIs pertaining to reliability, resiliency, durability, and uptime
  • Establish best practices to improve data architecture, development processes, and data reliability.
  • Conduct yearly and quarterly planning to establish long-term and short-term goals for horizontal data teams.
  • Hire top talent to grow and nurture horizontal data engineering teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of hands-on management experience with hiring and growing large sustainable teams
  • Strong record of leading backend teams and distributed system architecture from whiteboard to production.
  • Experience in managing high reliable and cost efficient data pipelines that transact with external data sources.
  • Hands-on approach to closing gaps in data foundations and technical execution, reinforcing development standards and best practices that guarantee high-quality, trustworthy data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse and dispersed teams
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills and a passion for delivering high-quality products
  • A high degree of initiative and ownership, combined with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to change.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $250,000 - $275,000.
  • Additionally, this role may be eligible to participate in TRM’s equity plan.
  • Please note – we factor in the different costs for geographies outside the United States.
